The group of players play for the Inverell Saints in the North West junior competition and have all been assisting in Glen Innes with running Auskick sessions for under 12s, while also training with the Saints in the lead up to the carnival.
Some of the six are relatively new to AFL and yet all have become valued members of their teams and training groups.

Last year AFL North West was only able to send one Under 17 boys representative team, whereas with the rapid growth in the popularity of the sport in northern NSW, this year four teams – under 13s, under 15s, under 17s and youth girls – were fielded.
The North West league covers Inverell, Tamworth, Armidale, Gunnedah, Moree and Narrabri. The representative teams played against Hunter, North Coast, Central Coast and Northern Rivers regions.
Glen Innes junior AFL club president, and Auskick coach Aaron Harvey said he is considering running weekly AFL training sessions in 2019 when the footy season recommences, with all current interested parents and players keen to participate and help build towards their own Glen Innes junior teams.
With great success in two years of Auskick, it's believed participant numbers could soon be enough to do so.
Considerations are being made on where such a team/teams would be able to call their “home” ground, and thus suggestions and invitations would be greatly appreciated.
