Police are investigating an alleged break in at the defunct heritage listed station that they say occurred between Tuesday and Friday last week.
Unknown offenders gained entry to the building by smashing a window before stealing musical instruments that were stored there, police say.
The rear door had been jimmied as well, they said.
Police are appealing for anyone who has information about the alleged crime to call GI police station or crime stoppers.
Police have dusted the scene for fingerprints.
They said the Lambeth street building was broken into between Tuesday September 24 at 1.30pm and Friday September 27 at 3.10pm.
Glen Innes Severn council gave up a lease on the heritage listed building in 2016 to avoid the ongoing cost of repairing damage from vandalism.
The building dates to 1884, with its heritage listing describing it as "an excellent country Victorian railway station, well designed, detailed and proportioned."
