"The artworks I create are heavily influenced by the rural New England Region, it is a consistent theme among my artworks," Sarah says. "Having grown up on the family farm in Glen Innes I am inspired by the photos I take and see of the area.
"I have loved art since I was a child, I was entering competitions all through school. It was my love for art and creativity that drove me to continue my passion."
In 2017 Sarah began developing and building upon her drawing abilities by creating a Facebook and Instagram page to further display her portfolio to a larger audience.
Sarah is represented by Gawura Art Gallery, which showcases her limited edition prints and originals that are a part of the ongoing exhibition with Lloyd Hornsby.
Sarah says "having my work exhibited at the Gawura Art Gallery has been an great experience and a wonderful opportunity to showcase my work."
After completing her High School certificate Sarah went to Creative Art Therapy Australia (CATA) where she studied graphic design by distance education.
"The learning experience I gained at CATA made me realise my passion for portraiture through a subject on drawing. I have a love for art and what can be achieved with the simplicity of just pencil and paper," she said.
"In 2017 I entered a portrait of my grandmother to the Glen Innes show. This artwork caught the attention of Loyd at the Gawura Art Gallery. From this point he encouraged me to develop my practice and look at art from a different perspective and take it more seriously to be more than a hobby.
"I have been incredibly lucky to have the support of everyone; my family, the local community, and Loyd and Wendy Hornsby at the Gawura Art Gallery.
"My work is very import to me. I am a perfectionist when it comes to my artwork. It drives me to create realistic art and focus on realism. I aim to capture the character and the story behind the subject."
Sarah says it can take anywhere between weeks or a couple of months to complete an artwork to her standard.
"For my commissioned artworks I allow eight weeks," she said.
Inquiries for Sarah's commissions can be done through the Gawura Art Gallery. The Gawura Art Gallery is now open Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00am to 4:00pm. By the end of July there will be an interactive website that will feature some of Sarah's work.
"I love the endless possibilities art provides," she said.
"I look forward to further developing my portfolio."
