The two-year wait for the weekend's NSW Rural Womens Gathering at Forbes was worth it.
Close to 100 women and a few men travelled hundreds of kilometres to converge on Forbes for an action packed event over the week.

The 28th gathering was supported by the NSW DPI, NSW Farmers, AWI, RHAMP and CWA while the program of inspiring speakers and workshops were put together by a volunteer committee after months of hard work.
Guests were inspired by speakers and performers including Melinda Schneider, Jean Kitson and the NSW CWA president Stephanie Stanhope.
While the DPI Rural Womens panel session was a highlight.
The Northern Tablelands was represented by Karen Weller (Tamworth), Helen Rich (Dangarsleigh), Christine Gellie (Guyra) and Mary Hollingworth (Glen Innes) who will use some of their new skills and contacts to assist their numerous volunteer commitments especially CWA.
The event included workshops and networking opportunities along with valuable information sessions.
