Paul Green who’s a member of the NSW Legislative Council and Richard Stretton who stood against Barnaby Joyce in the by-election last year held a meeting to gauge support.
Mr Stretton said he thought the chances of another by-election were 50/50.
Mr Green said: “A lot of people are disappointed and will continue to look for leaders who in all aspects of their lives lead by example.”
The party is based on Christian belief. It states its aims as: “We exist to glorify God in government. We stand for God, Familes, Justice & Decency.
“Founded and based on Judeo-Christian values and ethics, the aim of CDP members is to promote and advance a Christian Commonwealth to improve the common good by endorsing responsible, long-term goals, not short-term gain.
“We are an advocacy group for Familes, Churches and Community.”
