It prompted the people who run the Masonic Village in Glen Innes (otherwise known as the Glenwood retirement home) to offer residents a similar chance to dress up.
The Chapel Theatre provided the garb, as organised by George Muckenschnabel, the president of the Glen Innes Arts Council which oversees the theatre.
He got access to the theatre’s costume room and borrowed the magnificent robes for the residents. They dressed up and seemed to enjoy it all.
