“I am delighted that tourism operators in the Northern Tablelands will have the opportunity to expand their skills and grow their business by attending these fantastic workshops and webcasts, which are being offered through the NSW Government,” he said.
“Our beautiful region has so much on offer, and we must ensure that our local tourism operators continue to provide the very best products and experiences to international and domestic visitors.
“The more visitors we can attract, the more heads on hotel beds, diners in restaurants and shoppers in boutiques, all driving the local economy and creating more jobs.”
The 2018-19 program includes two new workshop categories.
“The NSW First Program offers the NSW tourism industry the tools and knowledge needed to gain a competitive edge,” Mr Marshall said. “We’re delighted to announce that this year’s program includes two new workshops as well as 11 webcasts, which can be accessed by industry 24/7.
“We have created a state-wide program that now includes a new Tourism Manager Forum and Tourism Development Workshop to help build product development capacity across rural and regional NSW.
“Our local businesses are great champions for their region, and we want to make sure that we continue to support them on areas such as regional conferencing, international markets and social media.”
