The Red Cross Christmas Tree Display organisers had a huge night, and Glen Innes Severn Council’s event coordinator Navanka Fletcher said the popup stalls in the square did good business.
“It was all really exciting,” she said.
Town Square lit up as its Christmas decorations were unveiled, and there was lots of seasonal entertainment and carol singing.
Council partnered with the Caledonian Society, Business In Glen, Glen Innes Highlands, and the Red Cross to put on the event, with local schools and dance groups contributing their singing and dancing efforts.
Navanka said the success of the event was due to a collaborative effort, and she can definitely see Christmas in the Highlands becoming an annual occasion.
