Santa will be at the Shop in Glen (TSG), 190 Bourke Street, over the next few weeks – and it’s all in a good Claus.
The jolly old elf has come down from his workshop in the North Pole to meet the townsfolk and their four-legged companions – and help his friends at the Rotary Club of Glen Innes and the RSPCA.

A photo gift pack (four 4 x 6" prints and one 6 x 8" print) costs $9.95 – and all proceeds go to those organizations, shop owners Peter and Rebecca Davis said.
“We picked two organizations that are genuine and well known in town,” Peter said.
“We’re not doing it for ourselves; it’s to give back to the community.”
Rotary will use the money for the leadership and vocational training programs, including science and industry, it runs throughout the year.
“Rotary have a wonderful youth program,” Peter said, “and we want to support the youth in town.”
The RSPCA will use the money to desex, microchip, and vaccinate its rescue animals before finding them new homes.
“The RSPCA do a great job,” Peter said, “and we want to support them.”
This is the third year the Davises have supported those organizations.
The family can meet Santa on Saturdays December 1, 8, 15, and 22, from 11 to 12.30pm, and on Thursdays December 6, 13, and 20, from 5 to 6.30 pm.
"Santa Paws" sessions will be held on Sunday, December 2, and Saturday, December 15, from 9 to 10am.
Families can bring along their favourite pet, from dogs and cats to rabbits. No word on goats, llamas, goldfish – or mice and reindeer.
