Baby Oliver couldn't even wait for friends and family before rushing to become the first Glen Innes baby of 2019.

Mum Michaela Andrews, 21, was all on her own when she had her third child on January 6 - aside from midwives at the Glen Innes hospital.

"After I had him I Facetimed my mum," she said.

"And she was like - oh you've had him. Why didn't you call?

"I didn't exactly have time to!"

The whole thing was over in less than an hour. Hospital staff broke her waters at 6:45 and Oliver was born at 7:42. Even dad Tre Fletcher didn't make the birth.

"I have quick labour’s but he was my fastest," Michaela said.

"I knew he was going to be born that day. He was meant to be induced yesterday (January 7) but he decided to come a day early."

Oliver Andrews will join brother and sister Ashton and Addilynn Andrews, who are 3 and 2 years-old.
