The Glen Innes Severn council still recommends limiting water consumption in these dry times to avoid a large water bill.
Meanwhile Armidale has imposed water restrictions for the first time in decades, and Tenterfield residents have to endure level 4.5 water restrictions. The town, which also received a nice sprinkle over the weekend, is staring down the barrel of level 5 total bans on all non-essential water use.
Level 4.5 bans all private water carriers, restricts sprinkling gardens and bans watering public gardens, sportsgrounds and more.
It comes into effect on April 17.
