Kicking off the pre-GlenFest celebration, members of the Glen Innes community gathered for a free live concert at Glen Innes Bowling Club on Saturday night featuring local musician Karl Richardson.
Karl received a warm welcome and entertained the almost capacity crowd with two sets of tight and eclectic tracks from a wide range that included The Beatles, David Bowie and The Cure.
Event coordinator Derek Foley said GlenFest official kicks off in March this year and will be bigger and better than before.
"Glenfest isn't yet in full swing but when it officially kicks off with the Companion Animal Arts Prize from March 1 to March 14," he said.
"The accompanying music presentations that run through the beginning of March will cater to music fans of all tastes."
After GlenFest was unfortunately cancelled last year due to the ongoing impact of COVID, Mr Foley is pleased that the festival is able to return this year.
